Human Resources Training Supervisor


Position Summary:


With direction from the HR Manager, the HR Training Supervisor works directly as a trainer; plans, develops, presents and evaluates training.? This position will ensure that training programs engage and develop employees to ensure key competencies are taught in order to perform current and future jobs with a primary focus on hourly positions. ?The Human Resources Training Supervisor is responsible for proactively maintaining and continuously improving the Pay 4 Skills Compensation Program.? This position will provide complete and accurate communication to all levels, providing the necessary information in a timely and concise manner.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:



  • Administer the Pay 4 Skills Compensation Program, including managing all hourly employee progression and presenting certifications to the Job Skills Review Board (JSRB).

  • Assist leadership in updating and maintaining accurate Job Skill Requirements (JSR) for all hourly positions.

  • Oversee and provide the orientation and training to new hourly employees.

  • Develop and/or deliver customized training per request.

  • Serve as a liaison between the JSRB and Supervisors, Cell Leaders and production employees.

  • Maintain training records for all departments; monitor certifications and determine when recertification is needed.

  • Evaluate employment candidates in the job interview.

  • Provide P4S Program support for Novolex locations, including initial roll-out, documentation support and P4S Program education and training.

  • Serve as a back-up to HR Admin, payroll, benefits and employee relations.

  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.


Candidate Requirements:



  • Bachelor?s degree (B.A. or B.S.), preferably in a business, education or technical discipline or a combination of education and 3-5 years of training development experience equivalent to a four-year college degree required.



  • Excellent computer database, customer service skills, and experience with documentation systems required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

  • Ability to work independently, highly motivated, organized and able to prioritize.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong, cooperative working relationships with others.

  • Able to present ideas effectively, orally and in writing, as well as strong public speaking/relations skills.

  • Working knowledge of the methods and practices used on production operations.

  • Must be able to understand and follow routing oral and written instructions.

  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, involving as many resources as necessary to bring the issue to quick and accurate resolution.

  • Ability to travel to support P4S program throughout Novolex locations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
